Yesterday, the team of ALTBalaji’s web series Fixerr was in a rude shock as a group of hooligans barged onto their sets and created a ruckus injuring cameraman Santosh Tundyal in the process. Director Soham Shah and actress Mahie Gill who were shooting at Ghodbunder Road in Thane on location were very disturbed by the whole incident and took the matter to the Kasarvadavli police station (Thane). However, the Police had not entertained them at the time and sided with the hooligans. Today, the Thane Police arrested three persons in the matter. However, it was all done when an FIR was lodged and the matter was taken to Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis.
Last night, IFTDA President Ashoke Pandit had tweeted about the unfortunate incident. Today, PeepingMoon.com exclusively spoke to him where he expressed his displeasure at the entire incident. He said, “It was an uncalled and unfortunate incident. This had never happened on any set so the entire fraternity is in shock that how come something like this has started happening. Yesterday, we were all under shock, but now we have taken some actions. Most importantly the CM has taken this issue on priority. So the DIG, DCs and Thane Police are in the loop now and within two days time, there is a going to be a big meeting between the Producers’ Federation and the authorities where a strategy will be made so that incidents like these do not happen in the future. It is a very unfortunate incident and the industry is not prepared for such kind of attacks.”
A film delegation team met the CM over the assault on actors and their team in Ghodbandar Road, Thane. The team included Mahie, Pandit, Shabir Ahluwalia, and several others.

Let’s hope that this was a one-off situation and incidents like these do not happen in the future.
