If you are waiting like zillions of fans for Shah Rukh Khan to announce two big films on his 54th birthday on November 2, you will be disappointed. Apparently, that’s not going to happen. Not only will SRK not be making this announcement on that auspicious day, but PeepingMoon.com sources say that when he does talk about any film he’s taking up – it won’t be renowned South filmmaker Atlee’s project that everybody is speculating about. But it will be Rajkumar Hirani’s comedy that SRK will most likely do.
The actor, who was last seen in Zero (December 2018) which failed to make an impact on the box office and the audience, batted away questions at the launch of his TED Talks India Season 2 show by saying, “I am thinking and taking some time. I am working on two or three scripts. As soon as they are ready, I am ready. Most of the people with whom I am working are busy so, Inshallah, I will announce it myself.”
For some time, it seemed as if the SRK-Atlee association was definitely on the cards. The film was supposed to be and out-and-out masala actioner, an original, not a remake of Atlee’s earlier films Mersal or Theri. SRK reportedly loved the story and trusted Atlee’s vision. At the same time, the actor was also supposed to be having intense interactions with Ali Abbas Zafar and Rajkumar Hirani. Now all speculations can be laid to rest. The Munna Bhai filmmaker appears to have won the race by a short head. But when will SRK make the announcement? Inshallah, only when he’s ready!
