Poor Varun Dhawan. The actor’s sunset marriage to childhood sweetheart and designer Natasha Dalal that was supposed to happen at the luxurious JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in Thailand is now reportedly off. The rampaging Corona Virus is supposed to have put paid to Varun’s plans for a romantic outdoor sunset destination wedding ceremony.
PeepingMoon.com has learned that the actor, who just wrapped up his father’s romantic comedy Coolie No. 1 opposite Sara Ali Khan, is reportedly considering shifting the wedding to Mumbai. Sources say that if Varun does that, then he will stick to the original dates in May. If not, he will consider postponing the wedding to November and return to Thailand. But Rajasthan, as has been reported by some Bollywood sites, is definitely not going to be his venue.
The wedding is not the only event that has been postponed in Varun’s life. His film Mr. Lele, that was being directed by Shashank Khaitan for Dharma Productions, is also on hold. Speculations have been wild about what could be the possible reason for this. But Shashank revealed on social media that the film has a solid ensemble cast and the production house was having trouble managing their dates.
Shashank added that a new plan for Mr. Lele would be worked out at a later stage. The film was to star Janhvi Kapoor and Bhumi Pednekar as female leads opposite Varun. It was to go on the floors this month and Varun had given its release date as January 1, 2021. Mr. Lele was reportedly going to be a dark and edgy thriller.
