Producer Sunir Kheterpal was supposed to announce the director for Deepika Padukone and Rishi Kapoor starrer The Intern remake this month. While the announcement plan has now been put on hold due to the nationwide lockdown, the producer hasn't stopped the development of his other projects. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Kheterpal is making a big-scale heist thriller that is expected to roll later this year or early 2021.
The project has been titled The Great Indian Robbery and will be about a plan to stop India's partition. The story is said to be based on a historical fact but has been fictionalized to make it a larger-than-life, spectacle watch. Sources close to the development have revealed that Kheterpal is in-house developing this film for the last two years and recently locked the script. He is currently finalizing the director and will approach an A-list actor once the lockdown is eased out.
