Never mind who’s dating whom and who’s going to marry whom. The bigger question doing the rounds in these Covid-19 times is who is locked down with whom and which happening jodis have been forced apart. PeepingMoon.com’s sleuthing journalists came up with some answers.
Happily, the Brahmastra lovers Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt managed to get together just before the lockdown was announced. Varun Dhawan, whose May marriage in Thailand to Natasha Dalal went for a toss, also got under cover with his childhood sweetheart and designer fiancée. Tiger Shroff has the lovely Disha Patani at home, but she seems to be spending more time bonding with his sister Krishna. And there’s Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor following the government’s stay home-stay safe diktat in letter and spirit.
However, Covid-19 has been more of a spoilsport. The virus did not give the other half of Bollywood’s young lovers a chance to unite before it locked down the city. And those who are discovering the cold and clinical world of virtual romance are Ishaan Khatter and Ananya Panday (the Khaali Peeli jodi), poor Vicky Kaushal and Katrina Kaif, Siddharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani and, the big surprise, Kartik Aaryan and Janhvi Kapoor.

Bollywood has always been one merry-go-round for this sort of thing. But it was Kartik who kind of upped the Musical Chairs Stakes by hopping from one co-star to another. When he was making Love Aaj Kal, he was dating Sara Ali Khan. Then he is believed to have latched onto Ananya Panday when they began Pati Patni Aur Woh. And now we hear he is seeing (or thanks to Coronavirus, not seeing) his Dostana 2 heroine Janhvi Kapoor. You didn’t know that, did you?
