Exclusive: 'Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana' director Ratnaa Sinha's next is a rom-com 'Loveology' to star Prit Kamani and Eisha Singh

Filmmaker Ratnaa Sinha who made her directorial debut with Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Kharbanda's Shaadi Mein Zaroor Aana in 2017 has locked her second project. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that Ratnaa is next making a rom-com titled Loveology that will be produced by her filmmaker husband Anubhav Sinha under his banner, Benaras Mediaworks. The film is said to have almost been completed with only the last schedule remaining which will be wrapped once the shootings are allowed.

Loveology is believed to be a college love triangle and will be very different from Ratnaa's first directorial which was set in the backdrop of India's civil services and explored the challenges a middle-class couple faces. The young and good-looking Prit Kamani who made his Bollywood debut with Sooraj Barjatya's production Hum Chaar last year and recently came to the limelight through Neeraj Udhwani's Netflix Original Maska has been locked in to play the lead. He will be paired opposite Television actress Eisha Singh who's making her big-screen debut with this film.

Eisha is known for her TV shows like Ishq Ke Rang Safed, Ishq Subhan Allah, and Ek Tha Raja Ek Thi Rani and will finally be making her proper Bollywood debut after her first stint with movies — Satra Ko Shaadi Hai produced by John Abraham— got shelved in 2016. She will be joined by one more new actress whose identity hasn't been revealed yet.

The film apparently went on floors last December and has largely been shot in Dehradun and Rishikesh. The makers were supposed to shoot college portions in Missouri in February but it was cancelled at the last moment due to snowfall. The nationwide lockdown following the COVID-19 outbreak is believed to have further delayed the film and they are now waiting for normalcy to return to finish the remaining 25-days shoot in Pune.
