A lovely and popular actress and his co-star in one film who heartbreakingly expressed her anguish over his loss, has reportedly told a top cop of the Mumbai Police that she got in touch with Sushant Singh Rajput about 10 days before he committed suicide.
The actress, acknowledged as one of Bollywood’s kindly and well-meaning types, told the police that she called Sushant out of the blue to find out how he was. And her co-star admitted to her that he was going through a low and extremely bad phase at the moment.
Now worried about him, the actress, who once shared a close bond with Sushant, wanted to rush across to Mont Blanc in person and check on the actor. That was her first reaction. But she hesitated to take that step knowing he was with actress Rhea at the time and then the moment passed away.
She regrets she did not go to Sushant when he was perhaps desperately seeking an outside crutch for emotional support. And she remains torn by the thought that had she met and talked to him, things might have been different, and she would have ended up rescuing Sushant like she did in their film.
