Five people from Jalsa,  the Bachchan family's palatial residence at JVPD in Mumbai, have reportedly tested positive for Coronavirus.

The first was Amitabh Bachchan himself. The veteran actor, who is the union government's poster boy for Covid-19 awareness, tweeted about his condition while being admitted to the Nanavati Hospital at Vile Parle.

T 3590 -I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited ..
All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !

Mr. Bachchan sounded a warning to all those who had been in touch with him over the last 10 days. Not realising that the next to test positive would be his son Abhishek. 

Earlier today both my father and I tested positive for COVID 19. Both of us having mild symptoms have been admitted to hospital. We have informed all the required authorities and our family and staff are all being tested. I request all to stay calm and not panic. Thank you.

It is said a driver and two others from Jalsa (not necessarily family members) have also tested positive. Abhishek is also admitted to Nanavati Hospital. Results of the rest of the family are expected tonight.
