The online visa interviews are over. And Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar’s bags are packed and he’s just waiting for the all important UK entry permit to arrive before he departs for London to begin shooting for Ranjit M Tewari’s film Bell Bottom.

Also ready to take off with the actor are his three leading ladies from the 1980s espionage thriller: Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. Going on social media last week, Akshay had said, “Looking forward to doing what we do best! Time we get back to work! #Bellbottom to go on floors next month.”

Sources say the film, that’s written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, could roll before that. The unit had targeted the first week of August. Bell Bottom will be among the first Bollywood films to begin shooting post lockdown. It is going to be a single 45-day schedule, start to finish, as only Akshay can manage to do.

Bell Bottom is being produced by Vashu and Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh, Monisha and Nikkhil Advani and Madhu Bhojwani under the banner of Pooja Entertainment in association with Emmay Entertainment. It is scheduled to release on April 2, 2021.
