Even as a battle royale is being fought in the Supreme Court among Sushant Singh Rajput’s Patna family, Rhea Chakraborty, the Bihar Police and the Maharashtra government, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in Mumbai is doggedly pursuing its money laundering trail in the late actor’s finances.
PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned that the ED has stumbled upon a new bit of evidence that has not been made public so far. It discovered that Sushant was reportedly paying the EMIs of adjoining flats 403 and 404 in B Wing of swanky apartment block Interface Heights on Link Road in Malad west.
PeepingMoon.com got a picture of the residents’ names in the lobby of Interface. While flat 403 is in Sushant’s name, flat 404 is in the name of his ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande. It is believed the actor was paying the EMIs of these flats from an undisclosed account he reportedly maintained in Standard Chartered Bank.
Sushant was believed to be making these payments until shortly before his death. The monthly maintenance bills of these flats was also being reportedly borne by the actor. Rhea Chakraborty was apparently not in the know of these EMIs and the flats in Sushant’s and Ankita’s names. There is said to be an amount of Rs. 30 lakh still in this Standard Chartered Bank account.
Efforts to question Ankita about this development proved futile. The TV actress’ PR agent did not answer PeepingMoon.com’s calls or respond to the Whatsapp message sent to her in this regard. It is believed that the ED will next want to ask Ankita for details of the Interface Heights flats.
