Sunil Grover is steadily shifting his focus to Bollywood after his exit from The Kapil Sharma Show following his fight with its star host back in 2017. The comedy actor known for his hilarious characters like Gutthi and Dr. Mashoor Gulati has since then featured in films like Vishal Bhardwaj's Pataakha, and Salman Khan starrer Bharat. Taking his Bollywood career a step forward, Grover has now signed his first web-series that will see him playing the lead role.

The actor will play a middle-class family man who gets involved in a crime in this dark-comedy series set in a housing society. Grover has signed the series and will start the shooting from 7th November in Mumbai. It will be his second stint with the web medium after the upcoming Ali Abbas Zafar-directed Amazon Prime show Dilli that stars Saif Ali Khan and explores the dark corners of Indian politics.

Said to be a thrilling comedy-drama, Sunflower is expected to have a quirky set of characters. While Grover is already on board, the casting for his wife and other principal roles is still being finalized. Vikas Bahl who is foraying into OTT with this show will serve as the showrunner while advertising director Rahul Sengupta will helm it. The Reliance Entertainment and Good Co. production is scheduled to premiere in April next year.
Meanwhile, Vikas Bahl has also started working on his next feature directorial, Ganpat. The Tiger Shroff starrer MMA-based action franchise film will go on floors early next year as opposed to the earlier plan to roll it only after Sajid Nadiadwala's Heropanti 2. The sequel to Tiger's debut film is apparently still in the writing stage and will take a few more months to be ready!
