Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh have been avoiding to step out in public off-late, thanks to the infamous Padmavati controversy, which has become the topic of discussion for the entire nation. As the film's release has been deferred for an indefinite period, and with threats pouring in for Ranveer and Deepika, the couple decided to opt for a low key dinner date last night. The two were seen exiting The Taj Mahal Palace Hotel in Colaba.
As per our sources, the two were in Taj's popular Japanese restaurant 'Wasabi' for two hours and gorged on delicacies like Truffle Lobster!

Ranveer and Deepika tried their best to keep their dinner date a hush-hush affair to avoid the unnecessary flak they have been receiving owing to their film and its characters they are essaying in the historical opus - Allaudin Khilji and Rani Padmini.
