On December 11, PeepingMoon.com broke the story of Sonam Kapoor getting married to Anand Ahuja in early 2018. The fashionista and actress disdainfully denied there was any such plan when our source (senior Bollywood writer Upala KBR) texted her for a confirmation. At the time Sonam said, “Since you (meaning Upala, with whom she has had a run-in on Twitter before) insist on writing fiction about me all the time, I don’t think it’s any point giving you a clarification!” At the same time the actress’ PR took exception to the news also.

But PeepingMoon.com sticks to its story. And now we are in a position to add another little tidbit to the news that will delight Sonam’s considerable following in the film and fashion worlds. The Sonam Kapoor-Anand Ahuja wedding is reportedly slated to take place in Udaipur in the first week of March 2018. It’s all hush-hush right now. But it’s bound to be in one of the city’s many heritage hotels that have been made out of old palaces and forts by the country’s leading hotel chains. Fittingly, the Wedding of 2018 will be in the Venice of the East, as Udaipur is known.

Apparently there are two weddings in that family of Bollywood’s Kapoors next year. First in February 2018, Sonam’s cousin the Bollywood actor Mohit Marwah (best known for Fugly) gets married to his longtime sweetheart Antara Motiwala who is a stylist with Conde Nast’s GQ magazine. This wedding will reportedly take place in Dubai. And immediately after that in the first week of March, Sonam will tie the knot with her Delhi-based designer beau Anand Ahuja who is the brain behind the shoe brand Bhane.

Sonam and Anand have been dating for three years, sometimes secretly, other times openly, and after the Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli wedding of this December, theirs will be the next big Bollywood wedding. Sonam’s family (parents Anil and Sunita, sister Rhea and brother Harshvardhan) are fond of Anand and he has accompanied them on holidays. The actress is busy with Shashank Ghosh’s film Veere Di Wedding which releases on May 18, 2018. She has signed two films after that. Abhishek Sharma’s The Zoya Factor and Shelly Chopra’s Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga with her father Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
