- It’s the first big bash of 2018. The event of the month. And you’ve probably read about it. Especially about the invitations that went out on a collapsible metal table with a gold top and which included a silver photo frame, flowers, chocolate and a pricey bottle of bubbly. Now PeepingMoon.com gives you the first dekho at that exclusive invitation card and also some inside khabbar about the golden 50th birthday party of Kaajal Anand that it’s meant for.
Kaajal, or Putlu as she’s affectionately called by her swish set of Bollywood friends, was once a lawyer. But today the media refers to her as a lawyer without a case who hold the brief for several Mumbai biggies and Bollywood royals. That’s a fair description. Kaajal herself said of the sudden shift in what she’s doing and what she was meant for: “I don’t know if I gave up on law or law gave up on me, but what happened was that after Sanjay Dutt’s case (which she managed), I was so exhausted that I took a break and never went back. I took time out and experimented.”

What happened to her was Bollywood, that’s what. And the vivacious Kaajal has so endeared herself to this society since then that on January 12, Gauri Khan, Shweta Bachchan, Karan Johar, Tanya and Arvind Dubash will be hosting a mega 50thbirthday party for her at Mannat – the palatial home of her best buddies Gauri and Shah Rukh Khan. According to a Bollywood source, “Putlu is in the know of this party, of course, and it’s not going to be a secret, surprise bash to celebrate her 50thbirthday. All she’s requested her hosts is to keep it small and quiet.”
Small and quiet is what this party’s most certainly not going to be. It’s going to be the maddest, merriest night of January, for sure. The Who’s Who of Bollywood is going to be there and the upper crust of Mumbai’s society, too. The invitation card which comes in the silver frame promises Putlu’s 50th birthday party is going to be one “Big Celebration”. And that’s what all those invited are looking forward to on Friday. All roads will lead to Mannat that evening. Are you invited? The dress code is Shimmer and Shine, don’t forget.
