The actor is leaving now for a second opinion by an American specialist

Bollywood continues to keep its fingers crossed for Irrfan who has been diagnosed with a rare disease while Hollywood has invited the Hindi Medium actor to the US for treatment of whatever it is he is suffering from. Irrfan, it must be remembered, is quite a celebrated name in Hollywood having worked in such blockbusters there like Jurassic World, Inferno, Life of Pi, The Amazing Spiderman and A Mighty Heart. And an unconfirmed report says that it is the legendary filmmaker Steven Spielberg who asked the Bollywood actor to come to the US to address his ailment.

Meanwhile, last night speculation was rife that Irrfan had been diagnosed with brain cancer. However, that rumour was quickly quashed by sources close to the actor. Peeping Moon.com has privileged information that Irrfan was in a private hospital at Jaipur all this while and has now come to Mumbai. He will be leaving for the US, probably to New York or LA which have excellent medical facilities, for a second opinion on his condition from a renowned specialist. Irrfan arrived in Mumbai by a chartered flight and was quickly escorted out of the airport by a senior police officer.

Indications are that the actor might have a long stay in the US if he is to undergo treatment there. Unless Irrfan choses to return to India after the consultation with the American specialist. “In which case, Irrfan will rent an apartment there,” our sources added. The actor is currently working on a Vishal Bhardwaj film opposite Deepika Padukone, his Piku co-star, but the filmmaker has reportedly pushed back the film because both Irrfan and Deepika have health issues. Vishal went on Facebook to share his predicament. “Their look tests have come out exceptionally well, nothing like you have seen before, and it took me a moment to recognise Irrfan and Deepika when I saw the test photographs,” he added.
