Since yesterday, rumours are doing rounds that Rhea Chakraborty who was last seen in Half Girlfriend and Bank Chor has been finalized to star opposite Sooraj Pancholi in his third film, to be helmed by National Award-winning director Irfan Kamal. However, this is apparently partially true. We have learnt that Rhea has been roped in to play a pivotal role in the film but she is in no way cast opposite Sooraj.

"Rhea is not the heroine, the one with a romantic angle as claimed by media reports. The girl opposite Sooraj will be a South Indian actress. The makers are still in the process to sign her up and they will make it official as soon as she comes on board," a source in the know informed us. "As far as Rhea's character is concerned, she is playing a blogger who has a couple of interesting encounters with the soldier during his journey from the North to the Southern end of India."
Produced by Mubarakan fame Ashwin Varde and Murad Khetani, the yet-untitled film revolves around the journey of a soldier who travels from Kashmir to Kanyakumari. Sooraj will be seen playing the character of an army officer in this military drama. He will be sporting a mean, ripped physique for which he will undergo combat training.
The actor was also supposed to visit an army base camp Amritsar for two-months to slip into his role of a soldier but that plan has apparently been delayed now. He will now visit the camp later as the shooting begins in September first week in Kashmir. The movie will be shot in 60-days start-to-finish schedule.
