The most anticipated film of the year, Thugs of Hindostan, is just two months away from its release. And with each passing day, the excitement for this magnum opus is taking a hysteric turn. Not only Aamir Khan fans but also those who have faith in his script sense are waiting for this high-budget, multi-star, action-adventure which has been the talk of Bollywood for its lavish scale and larger-than-life sets ever since it went into production.
In an interesting development, PeepingMoon.com has learned that Yash Raj Films will launch the first look of Thugs of Hindostan on Monday, September 17, on the auspicious occasion of Vishwakarma Puja. This will be followed by the trailer launch on September 27, which marks the birth anniversary of the late Yash Chopra. The trailer will be attached to prints of YRF’s Varun Dhawan and Anushka Sharma starrer Sui Dhaaga: Made in India that releases on Friday, September 28.

Another source further informed us, “Aamir recently showed the rough cut of Thugs of Hindostan to 15 friends from different background at his home. He wanted to get their feedback on the film from those scenes. These are the friends he usually shares his films with before release and gets their honest feedback.” They were apparently blown away by what they saw and went gaga over it.
Thugs of Hindostan is said to be the costliest Hindi film ever made and is expected to deliver a never-seen-before visual extravaganza. “No cost has been spared to make it a truly larger-than-life immersive viewing experience. Baahubali opened the visual spectacle to us and Thugs of Hindostan is going to take it one notch higher with its jaw-dropping visuals,” the source said.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and also starring Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Thugs of Hindostan is scheduled to release in IMAX and 3D in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu on Diwali weekend in November.
