Sriram Raghavan’s Andhadhun, the story of a visually challenged piano player who gets embroiled in a murder case, released today. The Ayushmann Khurana, Radhika Apte and Tabu thriller has got tremendous reviews from critics and Bollywood celebrities and is expected to get the same positive response from audiences as well. While other filmmakers would wait to see how their latest release performs at the box office, PeepingMoon.com has learned that Raghavan has started working on his next project already.
The filmmaker – known for making twisted thrillers loaded with action, romance, and anger – is apparently keen to do his next with Shah Rukh Khan and recently met the actor for the same. A source confirmed that Raghavan is in talks with SRK but could not share any details. The source said, “This particular project with twisted and tricky storyline has been written keeping Shah Rukh in mind. He has liked what Raghavan narrated to him and has asked the filmmaker to come up with the full script in January. SRK will take his final decision then.”

Apparently, Shah Rukh also wants to explore something in the thriller space and if this Raghavan project clicks, it will be the perfect film for both to collaborate on. Raghavan was once supposed to do a film called Happy Birthday with SRK and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan but it never took off due to reasons known only to them. Now it seems the filmmaker and actor are finally collaborating and we can not wait to get more details on it.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh has reportedly chosen cosmonaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic, tentatively titled Salute, as his next film and has already started preparing for his character. The film is expected to go on floors in January with Bhumi Pednekar as the supposed leading lady. Besides Salute and discussion with Raghavan, SRK is also reportedly in talks with Ishaqzaade director Habib Faisal for a love story under the Yash Raj Films banner.
