Radhika Madan is truly a 'rising star' of Bollywood. Though she is just three films old, she has chosen roles that add value to the narrative. An actress to watch out for, Radhika is here to stay and conquer Bollywood with her impeccable talent. Now, as we all are looking forward to watching her on the big screen, the young actress sat down for a conversation with PeepingMoon. Talking about choosing roles that break stereotypes, Radhika said she is hungry for meaty roles. The actress felt that it is okay for people to choose '15-minute' roles but that's not what she aims for currently.
"I know some people who are happy doing a 15-minute role. They want their career to go that way. It's fine. Personally, I would want a meatier role. For now, I don’t see myself being a 'sidey' to a hero. What I am adding to that? Why would I do that? I have magazine covers to look good, Instagram to post photoshoots. Then why would I invest so much time and energy just to look good and clap for the hero? I’m a selfish actor when it comes to my work. I beg producers and tell them that I can do it and I’m hungry to do something good. It’s fine if standing with the hero makes you happy, it doesn't work for me at least now," Radhika told.
Radhika further spoke to us about choosing her roles consciously and said she prefers not to repeat them. "I choose something that isn't me. As an actor, when I ask myself, "Why do I like acting?" or "Why did I choose this profession?", there is something within that tells me that I'm not content with one life. I like living different lives. I get bored with ‘Radhika's life’ that’s why I choose personalities that are different. I consciously try not to repeat my characters," Radhika shared.
