Shantanu Maheshwari, one of the most popular faces on Indian television, has bagged Colors’ forthcoming show, Alibaba Aur Chalis Chor. Most recently seen in Ekta Kapoor’s erotic web-series XXX (2018), the actor has been signed on to play the lead role in the fantasy drama, which, as the title suggests itself, is based on the folk tale of Alibaba & Forty Thieves from the book Arabian Nights.
If you follow television shows on a regular basis, you will already know that Colors has been airing the promo of Alibaba Aur Chalis Chor for more than two months now. Earlier, the show was expected to hit television screens in November along with Colors’ recently launched supernatural series, Tantra. However, soon the channel decided to stall it for reasons best known to them. If sources are to be believed, now Alibaba Aur Chalis Chor will go on floors in February and will hit the airwaves towards the end of the first quarter of 2019.
