Don’t know how far this is true, because a lot of rumours surround the man and his work, but PeepingMoon.com sources indicate that all the buzz notwithstanding Sanjay Leela Bhansali has not locked his next project.
The visionary filmmaker hasn’t announced his next film yet even though it is almost a year since his last release Padmaavat hit the screens. Speculation was rife about SLB’s next possible project. But nothing has been confirmed so far.
A few weeks back it was being said that he will collaborate with his two favourite Khans, Salman and Shah Rukh, for a family drama. However, if a source close to the filmmaker is to be believed, all this is mere conjecture as Bhansali has not locked his next project.

“He is reportedly working on three-four subjects and is still deciding between them,” the source said. “One of them is on the lines of a friend-turned-foes story for which he supposedly would like to have Salman and SRK on board.”
The source added, “He is also believed to be in talks with Priyanka Chopra for an ambitious film based on the life of a female gangster. Apart from that, Bhansali is possibly exploring a Devdas type musical historical and a modern love story too. Everything is in the running as of now and he might just take a decision soon.”
The auteur filmmaker apparently wants to start filming his next directorial in the second half of this year. Meanwhile, industry sources say SLB is now busy with his production Malaal which marks the debut of his niece Sharmin Segal and Javed Jeffrey’s son Mizaan Jaffrey.

Besides that, the filmmaker is also known to have the romcom Tuesdays and Fridays under his banner which introduces Anmol Thakeria Dhillon and Jhataleka Malhotra. It is likely he will start work on his directorial only after both these films have been released in the first half of this year. That’s understandable because once his own film goes on the floor, nothing else will happen at SLB’s production house till it is done.
