For Shah Rukh Khan fans, the wait will be worth the while. And the Bollywood superstar appears to have bounced back to action after the disappointment that was Zero in 2018. He’s shooting with Siddharth Anand for YRF’s actioner Pathan at the moment. And, yes PeepingMoon.com can exclusively confirm, the superstar will seriously take up Tamil filmmaker Atlee’s untitled project after that.

Atlee’s film, Covid willing, should go on the floors in August. SRK is believed to have flown Atlee’s team to Mumbai in December to lock the script and cast. Atlee will be setting up an office in Mumbai to avoid the commute to Chennai and will begin scouting for locations to shoot.

Buzz is that SRK will be playing a double role in the film. It is an action film and will have SRK as both – a top notch agent of a leading Indian intelligence agency and also a most wanted criminal. The film revolves around their conflict. Three of Atlee’s four directorials have the protagonist playing double and triple roles. This is a genre the filmmaker is most comfortable with.

Meanwhile, the other buzz that SRK would be doing a project with Raj & DK is not true. The talk was that the Bollywood superstar was teaming up with South filmmakers Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK for a big budget actioner that would be heavy in quirky humour. SRK was believed to have signed the film for which an international team was coming on board to design the stunts and action. Raj & DK even confirmed that SRK had liked their script. But it’s not happening.
