Vivek Oberoi and Shweta Tiwari's daughter Palak Tiwari were to star in the upcoming horror film, titled Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. However, there is a change in the cast now. Vivek, who was to play the role of a cop, has decided to exit Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. Now, Arbaaz Khan has come on board as Vivek's replacement. In a statement, Vishal Mishra, the director of Rosie: The Saffron Chapter and producers Mandiraa Entertainment and K Sera Sera clarified that Vivek chose to part ways due to changes in the script and the unavailability of dates.
"This is an outcome of the mutual consent and understanding between us (director Mr. Vishal Mishra ) and Producers K Sera Sera and Mandiraa Entertainment with Mr. Vivek Oberoi. Due to transformations and metamorphosis of the script in a different direction along with the unavailability of dates, Mr. Vivek has decided to part ways with Rosie The Saffron Chapter. In the newly evolved script, Mr. Arbaaz Khan will be playing a cop in a magnanimous role. We are enthralled with this addition and I believe it’s for the best of the script," the statement read.
Rosie: The Saffron Chapter is said to be based on true events in Gurugram. It revolves around a young girl who is an employee at Saffron BPO, touted to be one of the haunted places in the region. The film also stars Mallika Sherawat and Taher Shabbir. The supernatural thriller will release in theatres on June 25, 2021.
