Jaideep Ahlawat, who is a self-proclaimed fan of Irrfan, got a special birthday gift this year. The Paatal Lok actor, on March 17 which is his birthday, received a surprise with an Irrfan connect. A friend of Jaideep sent him a huge poster of him with the legendary actor.
In the poster, Irrfan can be seen seated on a chair while Jaideep rested near his feet reading a book with the title Maqbool. Striking a pose with happy smiles, the two look busy studying cinema. In the background, one can see names of Irrfan's films written on awards, medal, books etc.
Now, as we are remembering Irrfan on his 1st death anniversary, PeepingMoon.com got in touch with Jaideep to learn more about the poster. The actor shared that he had just 1-2 photos with Irrfan on his phone. However, due to some problem, he lost them. On his birthday, a friend gave him a surprise by sending the poster. "Maine ek din aise hi emotional hoke mere actor dost Sumit Sandhu ko bola ki yaar mere paas ek ya do purani photos thi unke saath. Mere phone mein tha voh joh kharab ho gaya. Uske baad humari koi photo nahi thi. Sumit ke zehen mein yeh baat reh gayi aur usne kisise toh yeh banwake di," Jaideep shared.
Jaideep, during the exclusive conversation, broke down remembering Irrfan and while talking about his equation with his son Babil I. Khan. Jaideep and Babil shared an emotional moment at the recently held Filmfare Awards 2021 where Irrfan was posthumously honoured with the Best Actor award and a Lifetime Achievement trophy.
