Kareena Kapoor Khan is expected to return to work after Baby No. 2 with a Hansal Mehta film. The actress’ role, PeepingMoon.com has exclusively learned, will be in keeping with Hansal’s brand of cinema – author-backed and devoid of bling and glam. Meanwhile, if all goes well with Covid and cinema, and theatres open soon, Kareena’s Laal Singh Chaddha with Aamir Khan will release on Christmas. She shot for it in Punjab before her second pregnancy.
After having Taimur, Kareena returned with Rhea Kapoor’s Veere Di Wedding (2018). Now she is in lockdown with her family and keeping Baby No. 2 away from the curious eyes of the world. Kareena has worked with almost all top directors of Bollywood and will be naturally keen on teaming up with Hansal. The film is expected to go on the floors in 2022. It will also wrap up quickly because Kareena won’t be able to allocate dates for long schedules due to her priorities as a mother.
PeepingMoon.com had exclusively informed readers that Hansal was currently working with Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya Rawal on a film produced by Anubhav Sinha. The shoot was expected to wrap by early May. Hansal, after the success of his Scam 1992: The Harshad Mehta Story, is also believed to have signed Kartik Aaryan for a film which will be shot in the latter half of 2022. The filmmaker will complete the film with Kareena before moving to Kartik’s project. Hansal’s Scam 2003, a sequel to Scam 1992, is also in the pipeline. It is based on the infamous Telgi Stamp-paper Scam.
