Let the COVID-19 lockdown subside and filmmaker Homi Adajania will start prepping for his next. The director who has helmed films like Being Cyrus, Cocktail, Finding Fanny, and Angrezi Medium, all of which are unique in their own way, is next making a web series for Disney+Hotstar. And while Homi is awaiting the revocation of the shooting restrictions to kickstart the pre-production, we heard he is also finalizing the lead actors for his show that Dinesh Vijan of Maddock Films is producing under his new digital content company Outsider Films.

Peepingmoon.com has learned that Homi Adajania has signed his Angrezi Medium star Radhika Madan to play one of the leads in his next Disney+Hotstar series, Saas Bahu Aur Cocaine that revolves around women working in the drug business. The Pataakha actress will essay a younger member of a family who seemingly runs an embroidery business in Kutch which in fact is just front for its biggest cocaine cartel in South Asia. The women run the drug business so secretively that even the men in the family who're working abroad and visit only twice a year don't know what they're doing. The series will have a bunch of powerful actresses leading the cast and while Radhika's name is out, the names of the rest are being kept under wraps at this moment.

"Radhika Madan was meant to be a part of this series. Homi Adajania wanted to explore her more as an actor after Angrezi Medium and has specifically written a character keeping her in mind, so when he approached her for Saas Bahu Aur Cocaine she happily agreed immediately. It's a challenging role that demands a different set of mentality and Radhika is full-on ready for that," a source close to the development informed us.

This Disney+Hotstar thriller series will mark Radhika's third digital venture after the upcoming Netflix anthology X-Ray that celebrates the short stories written by legendary filmmaker Satyajit Ray. Radhika will be seen alongside Harshvardhan Kapoor in a segment helmed by her Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota director Vasan Bala and Feels Like Ishq. Apart from this, Radhika has Kunal Deshmukh's Shiddat lined up for release this year!
