What took place at the palatial Juhu residence of Shilpa and Raj Kundra when flinty eyed policemen of the Crime Branch went there yesterday to interrogate the actress in the presence of her “accused” husband.
The interrogation lasted for six hours in which Shilpa reportedly told the cops she wasn’t exactly aware of the content of Kundra’s #Hotshot app. She insisted she had nothing to do with #Hotshot. Shilpa also pointed out that erotica is different from porn and that made Kundra innocent.
There were further allegations. Kundra’s partners misused his name. She had no idea why transactions were done through her bank account. But as an actress she could confirm that no girls were forced to do nude scenes in Kundra’s films. If they had been made to, why were no complaints filed at that time, she asked.
Shilpa further told the Crime Branch sleuths that the girls had willingly accepted the money as per their negotiations. “We are being trapped for no reason. This case is a trap and is full of mala fide intentions just to make money out of it,” Shilpa is reported to have alleged.
But on the other hand, the police seized a hard disk and computer from their residence. Personal laptops and electronic gadgets were also seized including the couple’s iPads and mobile phones.
According to the police, they have evidence of some big transactions taking place with London and Africa that Shilpa is reported to have withheld from the Income Tax and Enforcement Directorate.
Her account was also found to have been allegedly used a number of times in placing bets on cricket matches. The police are unconvinced that she wasn’t aware of these bets. Now the police are wondering if Shilpa had an active role in Kundra’s operations.
