Vikrant Massey is on roll! The actor who rose to fame with Television shows Balika Vadhu and Qubool Hai has made a successful transition to movies with critically acclaimed films such as Lootera, A Death In The Gunj, Chhapaak, and Cargo among others getting him much-deserved appreciation. His extraordinary performance in the recently released Netflix film Haseen Dillruba seems to have further highlighted his repertoire as an independent actor, and that can be gauged by the number of films he has been offered since the Aanand L Rai production premiered to rave reviews. Vikrant is on cloud nine and bagging films after films.
Now, Peepingmoon.com has learned that Vikrant Massey has signed a new film, titled 'Blackout'. Nora Fatehi who was recently seen as a RA&W agent in Ajay Devgn's Bhuj: The Pride of India will be playing the female lead opposite him. Both Vikrant and Nora are said to have committed to the project and will begin shooting for it sometime around October-November after completing their current assignments. While Vikrant is currently shooting for the Hindi remake of the Malayalam investigative thriller Forensic with Radhika Apte, Prachi Desai, and Rohit Roy, Nora is expected to soon begin Luv Ranjan's comic-thriller Uff. The silent film directed by Durgamati fame G. Ashok also stars Nushratt Bhharuccha, Sohum Shah, and Omkar Kapoor in lead.

Billed as a thriller drama that will directly release on OTT, Blackout is being directed by debutant Devang Bhavsar who's previously assisted on films like Prince (2010), Kyaa Super Kool Hai Hum (2012), Qissa (2013), and Chopsticks (2019). Niraj Kothari and Sarita A Tanwar who produced Vikrant's much-loved romantic AltBalaji series, Broken But Beautiful are said to be backing this film. Blackout marks their foray into feature film production.
Vikrant Massey has a solid lineup of films and Blackout is the latest addition in his filmography. The Ginny Weds Sunny actor has already completed Red Chillies Entertainment and Drishyam Films' crime-thriller Love Hostel that sees him alongside Sanya Malhotra and Bobby Deol. The Shanker Raman directorial is set against the pulsating backdrop of rustic North India and traces the volatile journey of a spirited young couple, being hunted by a ruthless mercenary. Vikrant will then be seen in Santosh Sivan's highly anticipated Mumbaikar — the Maanagaram remake — also starring Vijay Sethupathi, Tanya Maniktala, Ranvir Shorey, Sanjay Mishra, and Sachin Khedekar. Nora Fatehi, meanwhile, will next be seen in Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon's Ganapath!
