PeepingMoon Exclusive: I want recognition as I am not happy with my career graph, Bigg Boss 15 will be a great ladder for me- Vidhi Pandya

Vidhi Pandya has been a part of the television industry since 2014. She made her acting debut with Tum Aise Hi Rehna. After this, she played a role in Balika Vadhu. With her character Imli in Udaan, she became a household name. She was last seen in Ek Duje Ke Vaaste 2 and now, she will be back on television screens with Bigg Boss 15.

Talking to PeepingMoon.com, Vidhi opened up about facing a financial crisis due to no work. The actress, though thankful for the opportunities she got, said she isn't very happy with her career graph and the position she is in currently. Hoping that Bigg Boss 15 gets her pan-India visibility, Vidhi made it clear that she is not looking out for a perfect partner in the house.

Excerpts from the interview:

Why did you sign Bigg Boss?

I signed Bigg Boss 15 because professionally it will be a great ladder for me to grow. I felt I had the need to be recognised. I wanted recognition as I am not very happy with the pace and the position I am in my career. I want to reach more heights and Bigg Boss 15 can be a great opportunity. Also, I just have one life, why not explore and experience the biggest reality show.

As a person, I have certain desires and expectations. If you look at my career graph, after doing one show, I have nothing to do for nearly 2 years. There have been many ups and downs. Of course, I am not liking the way it is but I am grateful to God for whatever I have as some people don't even have this much. There is nothing wrong with desiring for more and working for that.

During the pandemic, a lot of actors faced financial crisis..

I have been facing a financial crisis before the pandemic. If you don't work for a long time, your bank balance also starts showing up. I faced that but I am blessed with a family who has always been there for me.

Do you have any strategy for Bigg Boss 15

Not really because strategy comes into the picture when there are tasks happening. When I am not performing the task, I’ll only let my heart do everything for me. My mind will function only when I am on a task. There will be no gaming and plotting.

Bigg Boss is known for controversies. Are you ready to face it?

Yes, of course. If something wrong is happening with me in the house, I’ll always put my point across strongly and stand by that.

People call Bigg Boss 15 a ‘gamble’. Do you agree?

People will say a lot of things and there is no need to react to everything. I believe it is not a gamble. The makers don't sign us just because they want us to do something wrong in the house. We have to be real. Every person enters the Bigg Boss house with an agenda and aims for fame. To achieve this, he/she can go wrong. Iss chakkar mein show ka naam kharab ho jata hai. Hume bas bola jaata hai real raho.

You are known to the family audience through your daily soaps. Are you hopeful that Bigg Boss 15 will get you pan-India visibility?

Bigg Boss has made careers of a lot of people. So, I am hopeful that Bigg Boss 15 will help me reach out to a pan-India audience.

Have you followed Bigg Boss in the past?

Yes, I have but not regularly but I have seen quite a few seasons and I have an idea about it. Sidharth Shukla was my favourite.

What’s your current relationship status?

I’m currently single.

Ready to mingle in the house?

Definitely no. I am not in for the concept of finding love in the Bigg Boss 15 house. I believe such decisions should be taken privately. Though I’m a public figure, I would like to keep this part of my life private.
