For Akshara Singh, Diwali 2021 is indeed special. Fresh from the success of Bigg Boss OTT, the Bhojpuri actress is gearing up to celebrate the festival of lights in her newly purchased house. In an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon, Akshara shared her plans.
"Like every year, I'll be donating food and clothes to the underprivileged. Before going to Bigg Boss OTT house, I had purchased a new apartment for myself. This will be our first Diwali in the new house, so we'll do a puja," Akshara told.
Akshara is someone who doesn't believe in partying on Diwali. Instead, for her, the festival is all about celebrating with family traditionally. "Diwali for me is all about making rangoli, Mirchi lights, enjoying sweets made by my mother and performing Lakshmi puja. We would play Kulia Chukia (Traditional pretend kitchen set available only during Diwali in Bihar)," she added.
Talking about eco-friendly Diwali, Akshara said, "The Festival of Lights is celebrated across all the communities and creates a homogeneous environment of goodwill and happiness. Green Diwali is a way to celebrate the festival with minimum harm to the environment. When the pollution in the country rises to dangerous levels, it causes discomfort to the elderly people, children and pets."
