Vicky Kaushal’s and Katrina Kaif’s December 9 wedding appears to have hit a roadblock. The couple is yet to make an official announcement but stories of the wedding have been doing the rounds since Diwali.
The latest buzz is that the recent Omicron scare around the world and India's reported proposal to curb international travel may prove to be a major deterrent to Katrina's vast UK-based family.
PeepingMoon has reliably learned that the Indian Embassy in London has put on hold the visas of around 20 guests of the actress due to the new COVID-19 variant. Most of them are close relatives and were supposed to travel from the UK and Vienna.
Their visas have not been declined yet and no decision has been taken by the Indian government on a travel ban, but the embassy has suggested that the wedding keep a tentative and limited guest list. Since it is being held in Rajasthan, even the state government has reportedly asked the actor’s manager for the guest list.
Katrina’s mother Suzanne Turquotte is already in India and busy with the wedding preparations. There has been no update from Katrina’s team about any travel issues.
