During the chat she spoke about her film Black and the kissing scene with Amitabh Bachchan in it.
Heaping praise on director Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Rani said that he manages to film every scene beautifully and aesthetically and hence he similarly did the same with the kissing scene that was filmed between a teacher and his student played by Amitabh and the actress respectively. However, the scene was purely platonic and had no sexual undertones to it. Watch the actress decode the scene here.
Black was inspired by the life of Helen Keller and earned rave reviews and accolades for the director as well as its two main leads. Rani played a blind, deaf and dumb woman in the film who is helped and tutored by Amitabh from childhood and eventually earns a college degree and learns to lead an independent life.
