Muskaan Khan, daughter of Sajid Khan of Sajid-Wajid music duo had dropped her new duet with Indian Idol fame Salman Ali during the Valentine’s Week titled Kasam. The romantic track has already garnered great views ever since it was launched by Taleem, a Sajid-Wajid production. Kasam is a perfect portrayal of symbolism in love. The song stars the singers themselves, Muskaan and Salman who can be seen portraying a young couple in love, setting a perfect example of Valentine’s Day.
In an exclusive chat with PeepingMoon.com, Muskaan spoke about the song Kasam, working with Salman again after Dabangg 3’s Awara and being directed by Nitin FCP & Nadeem Akhtar and more.
Excerpts from the interview:
How was it collaborating once again with Salman Ali after Dabangg 3?
It has always been fun collaborating with Salman, he is a very good friend of mine and it is a pleasure to work with him. He makes is so easy to work with him even when we are singing or when we are acting, he is very helpful and we have a lot of fun working together. When we are together it is either pulling pranks on each other or making fun of each other and it is so much fun being around him.
Kasam’s video is the perfect symbolism and reminds one of The Gift of the Magi story, what was your inspiration behind it?
When we were thinking of concepts the only idea that we had in our heads was that everyone can relate to and that it needs to be really simple. We did not want to keep a very complicated love story because we are both young people and because Salman and I met because of music so we wanted to keep music a part of the video as it is a very integral part of our lives.
How did you embark on the concept of Kasam, could you tell us what went into creating the song?
It is actually my farmhouse in Alibaug, so it was like a picnic. We all stayed there and shot there, even though we shot day and night but it was like family.
How was it working with Nitin FCP & Nadeem Akhtar, directors of Kasam?
They are super talented and so sweet. I had worked with them in an earlier video as well. They are so hard working, they will never bother about the time but keep on working till the best shot is captured so it was like a dream come true to work with them.
What are your future projects?
We are doing a few more songs with Taleem and a few other labels and hopefully more songs will come out in the future.
