Poonam Pandey needs no introduction. She has often set the internet on fire with her hot sizzling looks. Now, she is all ready to participate in Ekta Kapoor and Kangana Ranaut's reality show Lock Upp. She will be joining celebrities like Nisha Rawal, Munawar Faruqui and 11 others inside a jail.
Ahead of Lock Upp's premiere on February 27 on ALT Balaji and MX Player, Poonam spoke to PeepingMoon about signing the reality show, whether she is expecting a clash of opinions with Kangana and finding love after a troubled marriage with Sam Bombay.

What made you say yes to Lock Upp?
I am grateful that the makers of Lock Upp offered me the show. I am honoured that they approached me for something so big that is happening in India. Lock Upp is a fresh concept and a reality show I never thought of. I said yes literally in a second. I cannot think of not having this opportunity in life.
What’s your take on Bigg Boss vs Lock Upp comparisons?
How can two different shows be compared? There can be no comparisons. Lock Upp is a different reality show altogether, I think we will not even get a bed to sleep on, forget ACs and swimming pool.
This is the first season of Lock Upp. What can the audience expect?
People don't know who Poonam Pandey is. They are not aware of my real personality. They don't know what I like, dislike, whether I get angry, emotional etc. Now, with cameras on us 24x7, they’ll get a sneak-peek into my life.
Host Kangana Ranaut is known for her bold statements. Are you expecting a clash with her?
I am grateful that I am getting a chance to be associated with such a strong personality. I am nowhere closer to Kangana ma’am. I have admired her work, the way she puts across her opinions clearly and the way she takes a stand for herself. Humne itni himmat nahi hai. I am honoured to get a chance to meet her personally and know her better. Yes, there are similarities between us. Just like me, Kangana ma'am has gone through a lot in life and that's what has made us stronger. I don’t know whether the conversations will be sweet or bitter but I am looking forward to it.
After a troubled marriage with Sam Bombay, are you hoping to find your Mr Right on Lock Upp?
Meri life mein dur dur tak shaadi ka 's' bhi nahi hai. I don't want this entire marriage thing anymore. Aas paas bhi nahi dekhna chahti. I am happy in my life. I am living my life on my own terms and conditions without seeking people's permission.
I think I would die single. I feel I cannot find anyone who will love me unconditionally. Nobody wants to marry Poonam Pandey. The world has called me 'bold' and what not, maybe that's why no man wants to spend his life with someone like me. I don’t think I am qualified to get married. I have never gotten any love. Self-love is good. My dogs love me the most and I don’t think I can get that kind of love from any man.
Will you be comfortable if Sam Bombay enters the show?
I would not want to talk about that person. I have just gotten out of the hospital, how can I be comfortable around that person?
