Alaya F, who made a smashing debut in 2020 with Jawaani Jaaneman, makes sure to keep her fans entertained with her real and relatable content on social media. The actress, who started off her journey in Bollywood with an unconventional yet strong role, awaits the release of her upcoming films. In PeepingMoon’s Entertainment Correspondent Rashita Sahni’s Women’s Day special segment ‘ExtraordiNARI', Alaya went all out as she spoke about facing sexism in the real world, being brought up by strong-independent women and men who empower them, having her own voice & standing up for what's right.
When asked if Bollywood has become much safer now in terms of casting couch as several actresses and female crewmembers have started calling people out and sharing their past experiences, Alaya said, "It has definitely become much safer now. I have been fortunate I have not had experiences like this and I feel blessed for that because I do know of people personally who have experienced these kinds of things and of course, you do know of stories of other people who have been brave enough to put their stories out and speak about it. I think it's wonderful that people are feeling that they can speak out and they can own what has happened to them so that they can get it out and whoever needs to be called out for it can be called out and they can heal. I feel like when you feel like you can't talk about something it gets so deeply repressed and it causes so much within a person."
She further added, "I think it's wonderful people are now getting the chance to speak out and say what happened to them so people have to take accountability for it. I feel it's wonderful. The more people do it, the more people will come out and I think that's great. I think anything that empowers people to speak up and have a voice and say what they want is always amazing and I definitely think it has made the environment a lot safe because now people are scared and they should be scared and that's great. Be scared, don't do things like that."
On the work front, Alaya will be next seen in Freddy opposite Kartik Aaryan and 2018 Kannada thriller U Turn's Hindi remake.
