Vinny Arora Dhoopar and Dheeraj Dhoopar are expecting their first child in the first week of August this year. The good news was shared by the lovely couple on Instagram on April 2. Sharing pictures from their 'babymoon' in the Maldives, Vinny and Dheeraj raised the mercury.

In an exclusive chat with PeepingMoon, mom-to-be Vinny opened up about the feeling of carrying her 'tiny miracle' in her womb. The actress further revealed the precautions she is taking during her pregnancy.

Excerpts from the chat:

What was your first reaction to learning about your pregnancy?

I was elated upon learning about my pregnancy. I was really excited but at the same time, I had to sit down and tell myself that something as amazing as this was really happening.

When is the baby due?

The baby is due in the first week of August. So, technically, this is the beginning of my sixth month.

What are you expecting; Mini Vinny or Mini Dheeraj?

It doesn’t matter whether it is a girl or a boy. But I’d be lying if I say I am okay with anything. I prefer having a girl and I’ve been dying to have one ever since I imagined having a baby, that's many many years ago. Dheeraj and I love baby girls. Though we are okay with anything, I guess I’d be a little extra happy if it is a girl.

Was your pregnancy a planned one or a surprise?

I wouldn’t say this was a planned pregnancy nor would I say that it came as a surprise. By the end of last year, somehow it was unsaid between Dheeraj and me that we were ready to have a baby. We did not work really hard towards it, we were just open to having a baby. God did bless us and realised that we were ready for a baby.

What are the precautions you are taking during your pregnancy?

As far as the precautions are concerned, I am going by my gut feeling. Thank God, the COVID-19 norms and restrictions have been lifted. I am taking all precautions in public places. Going by what my doctor has suggested, I am keeping myself physically active and taking care so that no accidents happen. Everyone around me is so protective and it feels nice. I don’t think I am being too paranoid about my pregnancy. I am going by what my heart says.

What are the changes you are noticing as you gear up to welcome a new member?

Dheeraj and I have always felt like parents around our pet, Oreo. Now, with the human baby coming, we are excited. We have matured more individually. Dheeraj has always been caring and sensitive, but now it is all the more and I am loving it. We love kids and know how to be around them. We are going organically and with no fancy preparations.

Are you planning a babymoon soon?

Technically, Maldives was my babymoon; that is where I wanted to go and we did go. If Dheeraj wants to take me somewhere this month, I hope he is reading this, I would love to. We love travelling. My doctor has given us a green chit for travelling, let's see how it goes.
