It’s the first time Tabu will be seen playing a teacher in her three-decade long career. The actress was once supposed to play a school teacher in a UTV production, titled Bombay High, fifteen years earlier. It was a film set in a high school that was supposed to deal with teenage angst and their problems, and was to mark the directorial debut of Nupur Asthana. R Madhavan was also rumoured to be starring in this film, however, the project never saw the light of the day. Ashthana has since then gone on to direct films like Mujhse Fraandship Karoge!, Bewakoofiyaan, and the popular Amazon Prime series, Made In Heaven.

Talking about Tabu's lineup, she has finished shooting for Vishal Bhardwaj’s Netflix espionage thriller, Khoofiya and Aashmaan Bhardwaj’s caper-thriller, Kuttey, and will resume shooting for Ajay Devgn’s Bholaa next week in Hyderabad.
