Sonali Bendre has been a part of the Hindi film industry for the past 27 years and has seen umpteen numbers of ups-and-downs and has also managed to reinvent herself. Hailed as one of the most sought after models in the 90s' to being the face of Cancer survivors - Sonali bares it all in Let's Talk Season 3, Episode 2. In the interview, she speaks about discovering her love for acting and the fact that it dawned upon her on a hospital bed during her cancer treatment.
Talking about what acting means to her and her second innings under the arc lights, Sonali said, “I truly, actually understood about it when I was going through my illness. When on the hospital bed, when you are looking at, you know, if I survive this what it that I will do? And I want to visualize what is it I will be doing, so I'm manifesting it, I'm visualizing it. The visual would keep coming back to me being in front of the camera. And I'm like, I never thought, I was doing it for the pay cheque and I realized there at some point I had fallen in love with it and it's my calling. So yeah… here I am. After restarting, getting a second chance and redoing things. And, hope to doing better this time.”
Sonali was a top-notch model who did several advertisements before she made her Bollywood debut. Later on, she also became a kind of pioneer when she turned to TV and became a host for the reality show Kya Masti Kya Dhoom and followed it up with working in the TV serial Ajeeb Dastaan Hai Yeh.
She returned to judging television reality shows and went on to feature on Indian Idol 4, India's Got Talent, Hindustan Ke Hunarbaaz and India's Best Dramebaaz.
