Now it can be told. The real reason why Tiger Shroff’s Screw Dheela has been deferred by Dharma Productions is not any of the multiple possibilities thrown up by some Bollywood media houses. PeepingMoon.com has exclusively found out that there was a date limitation that compelled Karan Johar to take the decision but Dharma Productions would most certainly be taking up the film next year.
Rumours were wild that the budget of the big-scale actioner KJo had announced in July was running in excess of Rs. 150 crore; that the teaser of Screw Dheela didn’t get encouraging response; that Tiger’s draw at the box office had weakened after the failure of Heropanti 2; that the makers were concerned by the recent dismal turnout for Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha and Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan; and, that there was misunderstanding between KJo and Tiger.
None of which is true. Stressing that Dharma Productions and Tiger had absolutely the best relationship, Karan Johar told PeepingMoon.com, “The only reason Screw Dheela was not made is because there was a date constraint and he had an exit in January to start Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.” That apparently gave the production house a very limited window.

But there was no hesitation when KJo said, “We definitely plan to pursue Screw Dheela next year and another big action film along with many other plans with Tiger. We believe he is a huge action movie star and has a huge commercially glowing career ahead of him.”
A trade pundit said that Screw Dheela, which was to be directed by Shashank Khaitan and possibly co-star Rashmika Mandanna opposite Tiger, promised a solid punch of entertainment and fans would gladly accept it whenever it went on the floor.
