The super good 'baddie' of Liger - Vishu Reddy - in an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon's Entertainment Correspondent Rashita Sahni, opened up about his unique role in the film, being launched in Bollywood by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, sharing screenspace with Ananya Panday-Vijay Deverakonda & his dream of working with ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali!
Liger, a pan-India film is being produced and presented by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in Bollywood. While South and pan-India films are creating a lot buzz at the box office, Bollywood films have not been able to perform as expected lately - the recent examples being two big A-lister movies - Laal Singh Chaddha and Raksha Bandhan. When asked if the recent performances of Bollywood films at the box office scared Vish as not only an actor of Liger but also the CEO of Puri Connects, he confidently said, "Not at all. I’m just being practical because apart from being an actor, I’m also the CEO of the company. I’ve to be practical. So we just started the bookings overseas like two days ago and everywhere it’s just getting sold out and when it’s happening overseas then in India I can be confident about it and people are just asking continuously, ‘when are you starting the booking’."
The actor further added, "So, I think it’ll be a sold-out board outside theatres so we’re just happy that people are eagerly waiting for Liger. They want to come to theatres and watch the film and experience the theatre atmosphere."
Liger, directed by Puri Jagannadh, is set to release in cinemas on August 25, 2022. The film stars Ananya Panday and Vijay Deverakonda in lead roles.
