In May 2021, Peepingmoon.com informed its readers that Ali Abbas Zafar's superhero film with Katrina Kaif was delayed by a year courtesy of the devastating second wave of COVID-19. The two-part Netflix Original tentatively titled Super Soldier was supposed to go on floors this year. However, no official announcement has been made yet. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon's Managing Editor Ankita Bhalla, Katrina, who is busy promoting her recently released film Phone Bhoot currently, was asked about an update of her superhero film with Ali and what fascinates her about the genre.
The actress, without giving much information about her film with Ali, said, "After some time, I think it's gonna be my 20th year. You are gonna feel that you wanna do new things. I have been really very fortunate that I have done a lot of what I wanted to and I think that's something to be really very grateful for. In cinema, I have done a lot of things that I envisioned, that was just my desire."
Katrina added, "Right now, there are certain things I am yet to do. And that is one of them. So when I say superhero, I am talking like X-Men or even Doctor Strange - I am talking about that. Slightly negative, supernatural element, and fierce. I wanna do something like that. Like yesterday for Halloween, I was Harley Quinn. To me a role like that. This type of role is high. I hope it's my 20th-year announcement."
On the work front, Katrina has Tiger 3 and Godfather in her kitty.
