In an exclusive conversation, Ranbir Kapoor tells us if he will give up ‘romantic, casanova’ characters post daughter Raha's birth and the influence of father Rishi Kapoor in shaping him as this generation’s 'IT' romantic hero!
When asked about taking a step back from the rom-com genre now that he a little babygirl, Ranbir said, "When my father had us (Riddhima and me), he was 30. I am 40. It's a little bit of an age gap but I didn't say it because Raha was born, I just felt that I am also growing older and rom-com genre is a young actor's genre. Agar achi script ayegi and it's an age-appropriate rom-com, I'd love to do it. So never say never. Having said that, I have grown up watching my father's films. Today if people tell me I lip-sync well or I do my songs well, it's because I have learnt from the best."
He further mentioned that no one can ever mimic his father Rishi Kapoor as he was such a natural actor.
Ranbir's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar is all set to release on March 8. Directed by Luv Ranjan, the movie stars Shraddha Kapoor opposite RK.
