PeepingMoon Exclusive: I would steal Zeenat Aman's clothes, copy Karisma Kapoor’s 90s era style; would love to wear Schiaparelli everyday- 'ExtraordiNari' Uorfi Javed

From being a DIY fashion princess who faced numerous trolls head-on to collaborating with India’s known designers for Dirty magazine’s cover look, Uorfi Javed has indeed come a long way. The diva, who gained recognition from Bigg Boss OTT, grabbed the limelight with her eccentric outfits in the initial days. Making fashion her form of self-expression, Uorfi curated her DIY outfits from bottle cans to sharp razors, pebbles, watches and even garbage bags. In spite of people, including a few celebrities and politicians commenting on her OOTD choices, Uorfi continued to do what she does best- explore fashion. From taking inspiration from Kendall Jenner, Zendaya & Bella Hadid’s dresses to turning muse for Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla and Diet Sabya, her era of ‘Uorfication’ has just started.

In the finale episode of PeepingMoon's Women's Day special series titled ExtraordiNari, Uorfi had a tell-all conversation about handling trolls, facing childhood abuse, overcoming suicidal tendencies and of course- fashion!

When addressed the elephant in the room about being called out by a select few celebrities for her sartorial sense, Uorfi quipped that it came from their place of insecurity. “Abhi ye actresses jo mere baare mein bolti hai unhone apne bikini pictures dale hue hai. Instagram pe real log nahi hai. (Those who are calling me out have themselves posted their bikini pictures on social media. No one is real on Instagram) They are just jealous of the attention that I am getting.”

On being questioned which three women, barring the borders and era, would she like to style, the diva replied that she would not like to style these ladies but copy their style. "I would definitely copy Zeenat Aman. I would steal her clothes. And then maybe I would copy Karisma Kapoor’s 90s style. It was amazing. In Hollywood, I like Doja Cat. She has my vibe. I think we can be good friends," she mentioned.

On a final fashion note when asked about her overall sartorial journey of being a DIY fashion princess to headlining magazine covers, Uorfi feels it hasn’t come a full circle just yet. “Some people still think I am dumb to try this but mujhe na mere taareef se farak padta hai na mere burai se. (I am indifferent to both, praise and criticism) It feels nice to wear big designers but I don’t want to get that to my head. Is there a designer Uorfi wants to wear? “Schiaparelli. I think it has been doing amazing designs for a long time. I possible, I would everyday wear a Schiaparelli. If you are listening, your stuff is very expensive, just can you send me for free something?” she added. When asked if she is the Bella Hadid or Kendal Jenner of India, the stunner parted ways saying, “I am Uorfi Javed.”
