Jimmy Shergill, who is currently promoting his recently-released film Operation Mayfair, sat down for an exclusive conversation with PeepingMoon's Senior Entertainment Correspondent Rashita Sahni. When asked if he ever looks back at his journey in the film indsyrty and regrets doing certain films, Jimmy said he did have a phase of insecurity but he always knew he was on the right path.
The actor said, "So I think the insecurity was there at the time when I made that little bit of a switch where I was doing solo lead films & two hero projects and I suddenly did a film like ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S’. And got into a character. Post that, a lot of people started telling me that you know are you crazy you are doing this you doing that why are you doing things like this why are you doing films like Haansil?"
He added, "But I mean when you go back home, you do think ‘am I doing the right thing’ but now when I look back at the whole thing I say that I’m glad that I did that and did films like Yahaa, like A Wednesday, like Tanu Weds Manu because somewhere inside me something was telling me that this film will be remembered!"
Directed by Sudipto Sarkar, Operation Mayfair stars Jimmy in the lead role along with Vedieka Dutt, Ankur Bhatia, Hritiqa Chheber, Sneha Singh, Vedant Sarkar and Anjali Sharma.
