PeepingMoon Exclusive: It's the last day for Jawan; Shah Rukh Khan finally wraps Atlee Kumar's film today

Shah Rukh Khan has been juggling the shooting of two films since 2021. He was earlier simultaneously shooting for Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan and Atlee Kumar’s Jawan, and once the YRF spy thriller was over, SRK started working on Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki during the schedule breaks of Atlee’s film. The ‘simultaneous filming of two films’ seems to be finally ending for Shah Rukh as Jawan nears completion with only Hirani’s film remaining to shoot now. Peepingmoon.com has exclusively learned that SRK and Atlee’s highly anticipated action entertainer will officially be wrapped up today.

"Shah Rukh Khan finally completes shooting for Jawan today. Although the talkie portions were already finished on April 5, they still had two songs left. SRK shot a romantic track with Nayanthara and then filmed a mass dance song with Deepika Padukone. Today is the last day for the SRK and Deepika song, and then it will officially be concluded," a source close to the project told us, declaring Jawan as SRK’s one of the longest-in-production movies with 180+ days of principal photography. The film commenced shooting in September 2021 and has since been shot in various locations in Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai, Rajasthan, and Mumbai.

Contrary to speculations, the sources have once more made it clear that Jawan is indeed releasing on June 2 as scheduled. The editing, VFX, and all post-production works are going on in full swing to meet the release date, while at the same time Atlee has also started working on its teaser and trailer. The teaser will not be unveiled this week alongside Salman Khan's Eid offering, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, as speculated. The makers have planned a brief promotional campaign for this film, and the teaser will only come out in the first week of May, followed by the trailer in mid-May.

Jawan is a legitimate Pan-India commercial action entertainer with a cast comprising actors from various film industries, including Vijay Sethupathi, Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Yogi Babu, Sunil Grover, Ridhi Dogra, and two special and pivotal cameos by Deepika Padukone and Sanjay Dutt. It’s a hugely mounted, VFX-loaded film packed with jaw-dropping action sequences choreographed by Hollywood stunt directors like Craig Macrae (Mad Max: Fury Road, Avengers: Age of Ultron), Yannick Ben, and India’s Sunil Rodrigues. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the music, while Ruben is in charge of film editing. Watch out for this mass-action film, coming to cinemas on June 2, 2023.
