Prabhas fans were left disappointed when the makers of his upcoming magnum opus, Adipurush, pushed the release date from January 12 to June 16. The producers of the mythological drama, T-Series, and director Om Raut said in a statement that their ambitious project needed some more time to do justice to the 'sanskriti and history' of Lord Ram. Now, the countdown has begun as Adipurush is less than two months away from its much-anticipated big-screen debut in formats like IMAX and 3D.
As the buzz around Adipurush is at an all-time high with the release of Prabhas's look as Raghav (another name for Lord Ram), PeepingMoon has learned that the trailer isn't far away. A source close to the film told us that the team at T-Series is working diligently towards creating a visually stunning and intriguing trailer of Adipurush. According to the source, it is expected to release in mid-May. The tentative date decided by the makers is May 17.
Adipurush, co-starring Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh and Devdatta Nage, has been selected for a world premiere at the Tribeca Festival. The cinematic retelling of the Indian epic Ramayan will be shown in New York on June 13, 2023, in a 3D format as a Midnight Offering. The film is bankrolled by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar under their production house, T-Series and Prasad Sutar and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles.
The teaser of Adipurush was launched on the banks of Sarayu in Ayodhya on October 2, last year. Due to visual imperfections and technical corrections, the film was pushed ahead by five months. On Akshaya Tritiya yesterday, the new poster of Prabhas as Raghav was unveiled whereas Devdatte Nage was introduced as Bajrang on Hanuman Jayanti (April 6). A poster featuring Kriti Sanon as Janki (also called Sita) and Sunny Singh as Shesh (Lakshman) was released on March 30.
