Gulshan Devaiah's performance as Devilal Singh from the recently released critically acclaimed web series Dahaad was much appreciated. He played a tough cop with a soft heart. When we speak of cops, the first person to flash before our eyes is filmmaker Rohit Shetty. With films like Singham, Simmba, Sooryavanshi and now Indian Police Force, he has created his own universe.
In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, Gulshan reacted to whether he would be keen on taking Devilal into Rohit's unique and larger-than-life cop universe. He told, "It would be fun because of the kind of films he makes and his sensibilities. I don't know how Devilal would fit into that sensibility but hypothetically if I'm offered something interesting, I would consider it. His films have a completely different interpretation of a cop. Dahaad was more realistic and showed the procedural side because that's how cops are."
He further added, "Rohit's sensibilities are entertaining and larger-than-life. If I can do something good in that space to entertain the audience, then it would be interesting to explore that possibility."
Do we see a collaboration soon, Rohit and Gulshan?
