PeepingMoon Exclusive: Katrina Kaif ka ek aura hai, middle-class joint family ki bahu nahi lag sakti- Laxman Utekar on not casting her with Vicky Kaushal in Zara Hatke Zara Bachke

Laxman Utekar is all set for the grand and much-awaited release of his family entertainer, titled Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. Headlined by Sara Ali Khan and Vicky Kaushal, the film will hit the silver screen on June 2. Ahead of Zara Hatke Zara Bachke's release, PeepingMoon spoke to the director in an exclusive conversation. When asked whether he is keen on directing Vicky along with his wife, actress Katrina Kaif, in the future, Laxman said if the right opportunity comes, he would love to collaborate with VicKat.

Reacting to directing Katrina in his film, Laxman quipped, "Meri language Katrina ko samajh aayegi tabhi kar paunga (laughs)." He further joked, "Aapko lagta hai Katrina kabhi small town ki heroine lagegi?"

Laxman continued, "If we get a good script, I would love to work with Vicky and Katrina. I couldn't get them onboard this time because Zara Hatke Zara Bachke is in a different space and I feel Katrina ka joh aura hai and personality hai, mujhe personally laga nahi ki voh ek middle-class joint family ki bahu lag sakti hai."

He concluded the answer by saying, "Agar future mein aisa kuch banega joh unko suit karega toh kyun nahi."

Jio Studios & Dinesh Vijan present Zara Hatke Zara Bachke. A Maddock Films production, produced by Dinesh Vijan and Jyoti Desphande, directed by Laxman Utekar, and written by Laxman Utekar, Maitrey Bajpai and Ramiz Khan.
