Aditi Saigal, popularly known by her screen name- Dot, impacted the audience with her debut film, The Archies. She played the role of Ethel Muggs. While being one of the leading characters, the young starlet also lent her voice to the songs picturised on Khushi Kapoor's Betty Cooper. As Aditi embarks on a journey in the film industry, PeepingMoon.com spoke to her exclusively.
In the exclusive interview, Aditi bared her heart like never before. When asked if any incident or memory inspired her to write, compose and sing a song, the actress-singer shared that she penned a special song in memory of her father. Dot said, "I've written a song called Kitchen Garden, which is not out. I don't know if I'll ever put it out because it's a song I wrote for myself. My father passed away when I was very young. I didn't get to know him as an adult and I found out things about him through other people who knew him probably better than me because they knew him much longer. I knew him in a very different context [as my dad]."
She added, "My mom or my grandparents told me that my dad used to have his own kitchen garden and used to grow vegetables when he was a kid. That was something he really enjoyed. I also love gardening. It was something I didn't know about my dad. I wrote a song about connecting with him years after he passed over something that we have in common. So, that song is very special to me."
Aditi concluded by saying, "It's just about the fact that I know him in a very different way compared to how other people know him."
