Taha Shah Badussha is a revelation in the recently released series, Heeramandi. Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the actor plays the central role of Tajdar who is seen romancing Sharmin Segal in the lavish 8-episode show. In an exclusive interview with PeepingMoon, Taha opened up about reinventing himself over the years and choosing projects that offer space to showcase his talent.
In the interview, Taha exclusively told us, "It's a blessing to be able to do different sort of characters. Iss industry mein aksar aisa hota hai ki aapko stereotype kiya jata hai. To be blessed to be able to choose different roles or choose but the blessing of the Almighty that certain roles come to you. Kyunki maine apne career mein yeh zarur dekha hai ki jitna bhi aap koshish kare ek role ke liye woh aapko nahi milta. But joh aapki kismat mein hai woh aapko milta hai. I believe that it is not about being difficult, it's first of all being grateful."
He added, "It's not about me, it's about the vision of the director. It's about the whole team that puts you, puts us in a different world. As actors, you're mouldable, you're malleable, you kind of adapt to the surroundings. It's a process that takes a little bit of understanding It takes vulnerability and you just have to surrender to the team, to the director and their vision and just believe in them and not lock yourself up in a certain way "
Taha continued, "I'm personally very bored of my own life. I love being in different characters' lives. It's more fun. It's in the flow mode. Being different characters all because of such an incredible team."
